The Peace Tree Spirit workshops were designed to help students and teachers integrate the Peace Tree Spirit curriculum into their classroom in order to empower students to create inclusive, equitable, respectful and caring schools that celebrate diversity!
The Peace Tree Spirit Workshops were presented to eight school boards across Ontario in 2013 to 2014 with the support of the Ministry of Education. Students and teachers had an opportunity to create their own Peace Tree Club/Committees, develop ideas to create a more inclusive, equitable and respectful school that celebrates diversity and develop their plans to celebrate Peace Tree Day in their schools in order to help children less fortunate around the world.
